Textile Print Design Developer

 A fast growing junior fashion clothing company in LA is seeking for a Textile Print Design Developer to join their team.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

‪‪This position is responsible for all aspects of the Print Development Process, which includes: trend research, print designing, print element sketching, print element arrangement, writing detailed print development tech files and ensuring that the print artwork is designed to meet customer's profile and business strategy for the brand.  

‪PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Print Design/Development Support

• ‪‪Trend/Print/Color Research
• Analyze Trend Report
• Market Research
• Design Prints
• ‪‪Collaborates with Designer/Design Manager to develop color palettes and print direction for categories within the brand
• Meet with Designer/Design Manager to select prints for the season
• ‪‪Create presentation materials for all milestone meetings and working sessions
• ‪‪Print element sketching using Illustrator and/or Photoshop
• Writing print tech files with detailed instructions of artworks
• Provide color pantone codes for each print artwork
• Keep print development on track and in line with development schedule
• Check print strike-off and issue comments for any corrections or changes
• Check print samples and issue comments for any corrections or changes
• Assist Designer/Design Manager
• Flat sketching using Illustrator

‪QUALIFICATIONS:

‪‪Required

• College degree in Textile Print Design or Fashion Design
• ‪‪2-4 years minimum previous print development experience
• ‪‪Strong computer skills in Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong sense of colors
• ‪‪Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
• Multi-task
• Team player
• Open minded
• Strong communication skills
• Computer skills in Words, Excel, Outlook
• Have a sense for implementation and have innovative ideas
• Bilingual (fluent in English and Chinese - both speaking and writing)
• Knowledge: garment construction, fabrics
